I’m going to preface this blog post with a little math. With today’s newest addition, this marks the 453rd card in my entire Jhonas Enroth hockey card collection. This number doesinclude duplicate cards, custom cards, Vault cards, etc, etc, but surpassing the 450-card milestone for this collection is something I’m very proud to have acheived.
Here’s hoping I can reach Enroth card # 500… soon-ish? I know this will take some major effort on my part though. Until then, I’ll just keep at it!
Now, onto today’s newest addition, as another unique KHL card enters the collection today.

About a month ago, I was messaged by a fellow Enroth collector who had this 2017-18 My Sport Collection (MSC) KHL card availible. This collector, who is located in Minsk, Belarus, has a very unique Enroth collection. His collection focuses mostly on game-used Dinamo Minsk memorabilia, and to see his Enroth game-used items was really cool. I’m talking jersey’s, sticks, gloves, and skate blades. Yes, signed game-used skate blades from Enroth’s very own True VH skates. Cool, right?
Originally, he was making the complete Dinamo Minsk My Sports Collection team collection availible, until we got in contact with eachother, then he made just the Enroth availible for my collection. Thanks, Alexander! We were able to make a really quick trade on this one, as I was able to send him an extra Enroth Rookie card that he needed for his own Enroth card collection. Win-win!
As for these My Sport Collection cards, I have seen these cards popup here and there over the years when viewing KHL cards online. The collector I got this from said that these were originally from Russia, and aside from that, the trail goes pretty cold, which is usually the case when trying to find out more information about obscure cards from Russia. You can’t tell from the terrible cell phone pictures I snapped, but this card was made very well with some quality card stock, has a great design, and defintely does not look cheap in anyway. I have no idea why these cards were made or in what capacity, but they were defintely made with purpose.
Although I don’t have much to go off of with regards to the MSC card origins, I have found evidence of something more than just a simple ‘basement project’ when it comes to these cards, as I have seen legitament My Sport Collection (MSC) 1/1 printing plates for sale (Black, Yellow, Magenta and Cyan), stamped and everything. So that’s something, right?

So while I may not ever be able to produce a clear story of how these unique MSC cards came to be, one now sits perfectly in my collection, and that’s good enough for me!
