Hockey Immortals: 1911 C55 – Book and 45-card reprint set. I picked up another hockey book for my collection. This book, printed in 1991, shares the history of some of the formative years of professional hockey, predating the NHL. This book and reprint card set was limited to 50,000 copies.

It focuses on the what the game of hockey looked like at the time around 1910, while paying special attention to 1911-12 with a 45-card C55 reprint card set.

I’ve seen this book floating around for years, but I didn’t know this was where the reprints originated from. Glad to have this unique piece of literature for my collection.
