My Pickups from the 2025 Spring Expo in Toronto!

Another Spring Expo in the books! I’ll be talking about my Expo experience on the podcast in more depth, but I had a blast once again. It’s always nice to run into collector friends to talk cards at the Expo. I also had the chance to catch up with Billy Celio from Upper Deck, who is a frequent guest on the Center Ice Card Cast, a podcast I help co-host. I also ran into Brian Price from President’s Choice Trading cards. I’ve spoken to Brian a few times over the years, and he is always a pleasure to talk cards with.

I wanted to take some time on here to showcase the few cards I did find for my collection here on the blog.

My first pickup at the show is this stunning 2006-07 Artifacts Platinum parallel /10 of Marc-Andre Fleury.

I’ve always been a sucker for Artifacts, as it’s one of the parallel-heavy products I’ve never been bothered by. There has always been a nice mix of unique design and fun parallels that I’ve always enjoyed, especially the earlier stuff. This card fits the bill perfectly, and I’m glad I was able to find one of these for the Fleury PC.

Next up was this sweet Ryan Miller / Jhonas Enroth dual autographed card from 2009-10 OPC Premier.

2009-10 OPC Premier Signings Dual Ryan Miller / Jhonas Enroth Gold Parallel 1/10

For those who know me, I think these Premier Signings sets are some of the best looking autographed set ever. I just love everything about it from the overall design, the foil, and the ink colours used between the different parallels. This card is a duplicate for the Enroth PC, but I couldn’t help but add another as I inch closer to 800 cards in total within the Enroth card collection. I had help finding this one from a fellow collector on X! Thanks, Coop!

And last but certainly not least…. my first Vladislav Tretiak autographed card. Arguably the best goaltender to never play in the NHL.

Vladislav Tretiak 2000-01 ITG BAP Goalie Legends Memorabilia Autographs /50 (UM-01 Ultimate Memorabilia Vault Sapphire 1/1)

This card is originally from In The Game’s 2000-01 BAP Ultimate Memorabilia Goalie Legends Memorabilia Autograph set. The pack-inserted cards are originally /50, but this version below is a UM-01 Sapphire Vault 1/1 version slabbed and inserted into a ITG Ultimate Vault product.

Some people may hate the stamped ITG cards, but I don’t mind one bit. In this case, I buy the card, not the stamp. I have kept this card in its original slab, but have also included a close-up image below to get a closer look at this sweet card.

A Tretiak auto is something I’ve wanted to add for years now. There are many out there, but I could never pull the trigger on a card that made sense for my collection at a price point I was comfortable with. I stumbled upon this card randomly in a box of older ITG slabbed cards and snagged it for a great price. Even better that this is a Jersey Autographed card, too. Can’t go wrong with some more vintage memorabilia in the collection.
