Patch Upgrades & Hobby Interviews!

Hello my fellow card board collectors.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far. This collection is still chugging away, slowly but surely.

Today’s blog post brings another patch upgrade into the collection with this card from 2009-10 Ultimate Collection. I was also interviews on another show, which you can find at the end of this blog post. Fun!

​The new addition I’m sharing today is another Ultimate Debut Patch Autographs numbered /25, which features a stunning front emblem crest piece from the infamous ‘Buffaslug’ Sabres jersey era. I actually didn’t mind those jersey’s that much, but I definitely prefer the classic Sabres logo the most that they currently use. 

I picked this up a while ago through the old HobbyInsider forums. A Braydon Coburn collector on the forums picked this up for me when looking through a lot of cards that became available so he could get it into the right hands – which I greatly appreciate! 

Not a bad upgrade, if I can say so myself! Nice to get an Emblem patch to go along with a Number piece. He also sent along another nice copy of the 2010-11 Upper Deck Artifacts AutoFacts card, which features a nice autograph.

In other fun news, I also recently made a guest appearance on Matt’s Essential Credentials channel, as he debut his latest interview series: Joyous Hobby Conversations. What a joy this was! I’ve linked it below if you want to give this fun hobby conversation a listen.

​I had a blast (as you can probably tell) talking about finding your own lane in the hobby, our player collecting habits, and the things that bring us the most joy in this hobby. I also showed off some fun cards and the fun stories attached to them.
