Another Gold(en) Script card enters the collection!Ever since I was a kid, I always enjoyed a nice Facisimile autographed card. I remember ripping packs of MVP and thinking how cool this cards looked with the shiny autograph engraved in the front of the cards.

As far as the origins of these “autographs”, I’m honestly not sure. I have heard that the card companies will take the signatures used on the player contracts they have with them to use their facsimile autographs, but who really knows. If you have any insight as to where these types of signatures come from, please let me know as I’d love to know.

For those that have been following along with my collection over the years, a gold script parallel just feels different for me. If you remember, back in 2025 I acquired my # 1 most wanted white whale for my collection: The 2014-15 Upper Deck MVP Gold Script /100.

The ‘Golden Whale’ Found After a Decade-Long HuntAs for this new SHL card, this is a parallel from the Stars Of The Season insert set. I believe the odds on these Golden Script parallels were around 1:5 boxes for this 42-card set. Glad I could add this one right away!

I had to take some photos of this card in-person to share on here, as this card just POPS! I really enjoy the overall card design, coupled with the use of gold & rainbow foil. What a nice looking hockey card that is!
