Sweeter By The Dozen

My newest piece to the Enroth collection is this 2013-14 National Treasures Sweeter By The Dozen Jersey Booklet Card (Team Sweden) 18/25.While I’d like to categorize myself as a more traditional-styled collector, booklet cards weren’t my cup of tea to start. When I think of a card, I think of, well, a card. So booklet cards have taken some getting used to. 

One of the best things about player collecting is that is allows up to pickup a magnitude of different types of cards across different types of sets, allowing us to get a full taste of the hobby over the course of our players’ playing years, making for some interesting pickups along the way. While I didn’t take a liking to booklet cards right away, I did learn to appreciate them over time, especially Panini’s National Treasures booklets.  These things are beautiful works of art. 

Aside from the range of players depicted on this massive 12-player jersey card, this card pairs up many different teams across the NHL with players who have represented Team Sweden over the course of their professional hockey careers. 

As far as this specific Panini booklet card goes, there is actually a memorabilia error due to Enroth’s jersey portion of the card actually contains a patch piece from an away jersey. I believe all 25 jersey variations of this card contains an Enroth patch. I won’t be complaining! This Team Sweden booklet card is one that I didn’t think I’d own due to the competition a card like this usually brings. There is also a Buffalo Sabres Sweeter By The Dozen booklet jersey card /25 as well, along with the Prime /10, Patch /5 and Tag 1/1 parallels, which seem like a pipe dream by now. Oh well, here’s hoping!
