With the Toronto Fall Expo drawing near, there is a lot of excitement in the hobby right now. And for good reason. With the 2025-26 NHL season in full swing, the buzz at the Fall Expo is an exciting time for any hobbyist.
For me, I try not to get pulled into the next hotshot rookie card or the hobby hype that seems prevalent at Expo time. There is nothing wrong with this in general, as I believe all news is good news when it comes to this hobby we love, and any attention that holds peoples attention spands for more than a minute on cards is positive for the hobby as a whole.
I just try and stick to my lane and focus on what I do best: Collect goalie cards! So we’ll see what I can find and just enjoy taking it all in.
As for goalie cards, do I have something to share today… New from President’s Choice Trading Cards is a Complete Logo 1/1 NHL shield card I recently received!
This card is just incredible. Not only does this card involve my favourite Enroth Sabres mask, but the colour matches used and the overall design and visual look of this card is really something.Although this card states “Made To Order” above the shield, this was not a traditional MTO piece from the Dr. himself, but I believe a little homage to the Made To Order set that he’s been doing for years, even back to the older In The Game (ITG) days.
As a fun hobby tidbit, the initial Made To Order cards were redeemed through In The Game redemption cards, which allowed a lucky collector to get a customized memorabilia card of a player of their choosing (pending memorabilia inventory, of course).
The original MTO cards were created with some incredible memorabilia pieces over the years.While President’s Choice Trading Cards has continued making custom MTO cards for collectors, they have also used the Made To Order subset name with a few of their most notable sets for a while now. This legacy subset name has also been included on this current
Made To Order Complete Logo shield cards which pop up for sale on their site from time-to-time.I was lucky enough to snag this from Brian once he alerted me that the Enroth shield had been created after a recent production run had just been completed. When looking at my collection stats, this is my 3rd

I acquired back in late 2022. This year I landed the
2017 Leaf ITG Superlative Shield earlier this year, and now finally the 2025 Complete Logo 1/1 this Fall.
I mentioned it during some earlier articles this year, but this specific piece of memorabilia used on this Complete Logo card comes from a Buffalo Sabres Set 2 Home jersey, which was worn in a handful games during the 2013-14 season. Always nice when you can locate the exact jersey used in our favourite memorabilia cards.

With this new addition, this brings me (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) up to THREE game-used Enroth shield cards for the year. Wow! Coming into this year, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better grouping of cards to add in 2025. It’s just been that insane of a year.
