Showcasing my 74th 1/1 card in my collection…. All the way from Stockholm, Sweden to Canada, I received my 74th 1/1 card for the Enroth collection this week: A 2009-10 Upper Deck The Cup Masterpieces UD Black Rookie Autographed Cyan (Blue) Printing Plate.
This being the 24th printing plate from The Cup in my collection, I am no stranger to them. I really enjoy how The Cup encases the printing plate inside the card stock. While that has set has undergone a few tweaks in the last few years in the form of booklet plates and additional memorabilia embedded inside, this brilliant idea never gets old.
These printing plates are a little more unique, as the design of the card is shown on the printing plate, while the card in it’s final form have a large memorabilia window taking up most of the space. I’ve shared some pictures below comparing this plate to the final version of these UD Black Rookie Lettermen cards, which had a total print run of 499 copies, with each letter printed approximately in and around 100 copies each.
