Are you drowning in base & insert cards that haven’t seen the light of day in years? Do you wish there was a magical process that would rid yourself of this cardboard you forgot you owned?
If you’re like me, then Halloween is the perfect time for this.
Over the past few year’s I’ve managed to (happily) get rid of my base / insert cards to the neighbourhood Treat or Treaters on Halloween. Besides having a ton of fun putting together these packs, seeing the joy and awesome reactions of someone getting cards in their pillowcase instead of a piece of a moldy piece of fruit is something that will never get old.
This hobby has brought some much joy to me over the years that if I could help 1 kid experience even a 10th of that – I would consider that a job well done.

Ever year I pull out my base box and see what I’ve accumulated. Since I started giving cards away and not breaking boxes anymore, I don’t have a lot left, but this batch should keep me going until next Fall depending on how many people show up at my door.
Once the stacks of cards are loaded into some Team Bags, we’re all set! In the bowl and ready to share this awesome hobby with the neighbourhood. I’m thinking the kids might even like the cards better than the candy! I will be opening some of the new 2025-26 Upper Deck Tim Hortons cards this weekend on the
podcast, so I’ll have quite a few cards to add to this pile seen below, that’s for sure. As a bonus, it may have someone finish this year’s Timmies set!

All ready for October 31st!I hope this can help you get rid of those base / insert cards that have been pilling up for years. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll inspire someone else to join our amazing hobby.
Happy Collecting & Happy Halloween !
Aaron
