Some fun news!
Jhonas Enroth will be back between the pipes once more, as it’s been announced that he has signed a contract with AIK in HockeyAlllsvenskan (Sweden 2nd Division) for the 2026-27 season.
The news isn’t shocking to me, as there have been rumours about the signing for a few weeks now. After leaving Orebro HK after last season, I wasn’t sure where he would end up next. As it turns out, he is headed home!
As a Stockholm native himself, Enroth wanted to stay in his home city to finish his career while being at home with his family – You can’t fault a guy for that!
On the card front, HockeyAllsvenskan doesn’t have a licensed card manufacturer, so he won’t have any in-season cards made, but that’s okay! I’m just glad he can finish his career on his terms.
